i need a character for my daughter birthday tomorrow she would like to have dora come to the school.

Call the costume shops in your area to see if they have a Dora costume. If you can find one, then pay a HS student $10 to go in for 15 mins to walk around and make the kids smile. I did Bert and Ernie costumes for my son's first birthday...it was awesome to see all those little faces light up.

Well, it will probably be a little late to set up something now. Most of the time, if you want to hire a character to come to things like that, you need to make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance. Now, you can call a costume rental place and see if you can rent a costume and you dress up like her but, that is probably all that you can do in short notice. If, and I say that loosely, if you can find one, it will cost you a lot more because you didn't reserve it.

By the way, for the people who called you stupid and a bad mother, you aren't. If you are a new mom, how do you know things like that? Especially if you have never done them before. Good luck with her birthday party.

Well, I don't know where you live, so it's kind of hard for me to tell you where to find a character like Dora.

I would say just look up "impersonators or actors" in your local Yellow Pages. Call them up and see if they have the character you like.
