what are english equvilants of popular asian indian dishes?

Do you mean like there's regular sushi and then there is "california roll" sushi? Or maybe something like in Asia they have teriyaki sauce but in America we use barbeque sauce. We have fried chicken, Japan has "Chicken" katsu. In Asia and India the use curry to add spice to a dish and in America we use hot sauce and peppers to make it spicy. Also Japan has wasabi and we use horseradish.
