I got this from a web search:

Question

I have some kind of hard white skin growing on the tip of my foreskin and underside of the tip of my penis.

I am not in a sexual relationship and never have been so it's nothing sexually transmitted.

It isn't itchy or sore but obviously isn't very pleasant. I've had it for a long time, maybe two or three years. It clears up a bit now and then but never goes away.

I thought it maybe due to dry skin and have tried moisturiser but to no effect. I wash daily but this problem shows no sign of clearing up. Could you please tell me what it is, and what I can do/use to help clear it up?

Answer

It's dangerous for me to make a diagnosis without seeing your penis, but your description does suggest that you may have a well-known condition called balanitis xerotica obliterans, or BXO. It's a kind of inflammation of the tip of the organ.

Anyway, the experts in this condition (and similar ones) are to be found at your local genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic. Ring your nearest large hospital today and ask where the GUM clinic is. The clinic will rapidly diagnose and treat you.

Yours sincerely

This is called smegma, which is a collection of bacteria inside of your foreskin. It is a good move to clean it out every day, because it can lead to odors or even an infection if left unchecked. You might want to start using a penis health creme that contains Vitamin A as well. This creme will kill some of this bacteria and help keep things extra clean down there. You do not want a smelly penis. Trust me.
