gingerale + fruit punch + sherbert ice cream = good drink

I LOVE 'k walkers' answer using the Jello-ring, except I would NOT put in the sherbert -- it would 'muddy' up the drink.

Instead, use pink lemonade and/or blue koolaid -- you could alternate the pink and blue if you do not know the sex of the baby. Use Sprite as the base drink (it is clear and will make the ring stand out!!) - make sure it is COLD before you put it in a punch bowl - and the Jello Ring which is frozen will keep it cold. You can float strawberries or blueberries (boy and/or girl) in the bowl.

Have fun!!

I've looked over all the answers here. My granny used to make punch for every family gathering...we had a huge family...and lotsa weddings, etc. where punch was drank. I don't know the exact recipe but she always used lime sherbet and gingerale....don't know what else. Just wanted to say, whatever recipe you use, make sure it has sherbet in it....it gives the punch a delicious creamy taste.

go to the frozen juice section of the supermarket.
you'll see a zillion kinds of juice. i have experimented with many combinations, but i always start with a mango frozen punch, then add 2 others that you like, try pineapple or passionfruit etc...
put all 3 frozen mixes together (no water here) add 1 large bottle of ginger ale and 1 large bottle of soda, this will cut the sweetness. slice some lemons, limes or oranges to float on top, add ice voila!! you can't lose with this one.

If you buy lemonade either in a carton or frozen or powder, whatever, you can just toss in a box of the frozen strawberries they sell that are packed tight. They are always sweet!! The strawberries melt into the lemonade. Add some ice and you have a delicious strawberry lemonade!

Toss in some lemon or orange slices and they float on top and look beautiful.

Cran-raspberry juice, orange juice and lemon-lime soda plus one container of mixed raspberry, orange lime sherbet.

Reconstitute the juices with 2 (not three) cups seltzer or club soda. Add equal quanitities of the juices and the lemon-lime soda. Top off with the sherbet. People absolutely love this.
