I beg to differ. In Asia, they are known as prawns. In the US, the term 'shrimp' is more common.

Seriously, I don't see the difference. I mean, there's jumbo shrimp. So if prawns are bigger than shrimp, how big are they compared to the jumbo shrimp??

Oh and of course the bigger they get, the chewier they are. Compare a lobster and a prawn/shrimp duh.

Shrimp & Prawns are the same only difference is that the prawns are alot larger at times. In the Caribbean when you go to a restaurant the menu says "shrimp" but foreigners refer to as "prawns".

I like prawns better - the meat tends to be chewier, though, and it's more difficult to cook. Shrimp are much easier to find, though, so those are what I eat most often.

shrimp is better.....but it has more cholesterol. shrimp tastes way better though because it is served better....i saw pawn in a cooking book but the picture said it is not good.i never tasted it though.mostly everyone i know likes shrimp better.

Shrimp if you spice it right and cook it in olive oil is comes out really good and tender.

i like shrimp better it has more favor to it then pawn which is much bigger
