Don't laugh, I inherited a cook book from my grandmother, and there is a recipe for possum, as well as other wild game.
Possum is dark meat, so I would say either a Rose or a light fruity red wine, perhaps from California.
Didya make gravy? Hope ya mushed sum taters, and git ya sum bred to sop up that gud gravy with.
Dat gurl is yorn if ya giv her sumadat. And git rid of them spots on them jelly jars 'fore ya pore that wine. Gurls is emmmpressed by dat.
I know, one too many viewings of the Blue Collar Tour. And I'm from the South, so don't be hollerin at me for pokin a little fun.
