Definitely cherry topping for me! Why not have a plain cake w/several side bowls of fruit (pineapple, cherry, strawberry, blueberry, etc.) & people could top w/their favorite fruits. Slice larger fruits and slightly mash smaller fruits, add a little sugar & let set for about 20 minutes to sweeten and make a little sauce.

I would rather make the plain cheesecake and the strawberry topping, especially if entertaining. Not everyone is going to want a fruit topping on their dessert, and there may be some people who are allergic to strawberries.

Plain cheesecake with no fruit topping. Maybe some whipped topping sometimes, but that's all.

Always go with the plain cheesecake. Keep the toppings seperate and you can always put a different one on.
