14 year olds can get HPV even if they haven't had sex. Genital warts, hand and feet warts are all caused by HPV. If a person has skin to skin contact with someone who has the warts (like rubbing) they can get the virus.

There are over 100 different kinds of HPV. Most kinds don't do anything, but, about a dozen can cause cancer including cervical cancer, head and neck cancer, penile cancer and anal cancer. HPV can also cause genital warts, hand and feet warts.

It is possible that she can have HPV. It can be very dangerous to women. 300,000 women die a year from cervical cancer. She can always be retested if she thinks the results got mixed up. If she does end up having it, it is important that she gets yearly pap smears. Doing this can detect any abnormal cells on the cervix, which can develop into cervical cancer.

If she has already had an coloscopy then she has had an abnormal pap smear. If the coloscopy came back fine then she is okay. Her doctor is probably going to want her to come back every 3-4 months for a re-pap to makes sure the abnormal cells don't come back or turn into pre-cancerous cells.

Hope that answered your question. Good luck to your friend!

hepatitis and hpv are 2 different things.. HPV stands for Human Papilloma Virus. This is a very common sexually transmitted virus. A small fraction of men and women with HPV will develop genital warts. Another small fraction of women with HPV will develop cervical changes. Most people will have no changes. that is genital warts... there is no cure..(.hepatitis.)...Hepatitis B is caused by a virus that attacks the liver. The virus, which is called hepatitis B virus (HBV), can cause lifelong infection, cirrhosis (scarring) of the liver, liver cancer, liver failure, and death.HBV is spread when blood from an infected person enters the body of a person who is not infected. For example, HBV is spread through having sex with an infected person without using a condom (the efficacy of latex condoms in preventing infection with HBV is unknown, but their proper use might reduce transmission), by sharing drugs, needles, or "works" when "shooting" drugs, through needlesticks or sharps exposures on the job, or from an infected mother to her baby during birth.Hepatitis B is not spread through food or water, sharing eating utensils, breastfeeding, hugging, kissing, coughing, sneezing or by casual contact

hpv is not hepatitis. Hpv is a sexually transmitted virus that can cause uteran cancer. It is not something to mess around with. Contact your physician and make sure of the results.
