I have had these symptoms on and off for about a month now. My vagina itches really bad and one side of it has a red line that is very sore(sometimes bleeds..which could be from scratching). It burns sometimes when I urniate..especially after sexual intercourse. I have had bladder infections in my past but haven't had itching with it. I don't have any bumps or anything like that.
Wondering if this could be an STD or maybe a yeast infection?

It actually sounds like you have a yeast infection. Before getting all freaked out, go to your local pharmacy or drugstore and buy some vagasil or Monostat and see if this clears it up. Some of these things work in one treatment but sometimes you will have to wait a few days for absolute relief.

If you try this and nothing works, contact your gynecologist.

definitely sounds like one. do you have any discharge?these could be symptoms of many std's varying from herpes to syphilis...you really shouldn't be getting advice from anyone hear..i know it's comforting to hear people say"it's probably just a yeast infection" but if you leave it untreated, this could potentially hurt, and may even kill you(depending on what it REALLY is) so i will stop right now and tell you to SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP! i suggest planned parenthood

It's important you see your GYN. Be it a STD or not. On a regular visit you can receive the information or medication you may need to resolve your itch. Best wishes.

If the discharge is white it may be a yeast or if greenish it could be a Trichomonas vaginalis. In this event both you and your boyfriend need treatment.

I think that could be a sing of herpes. But to be sure you should see your doctor.
