What kind of dignitary? I ask this because it is rare you'd invite a dignitary for a breakfast. It is usually a dinner....

How about something like:

"We will be honored if you can join us for a breakfast."

You would never invite a person of note or a dignitary for breakfast as it is considered the informal event of the day. Breakfast is reserved for starting the day alone while traveling or close family or friends if not. The only time for a formal invitation regarding a private home is dinner.
