Well, before they turn into "pickles" (yum), you can make a pickled cucumber/onion salad.. man, now I am hungry...it is soooo good.

I am not the biggest fan of pickles, they're usually too sour. However, I like cucumbers many ways: plain, with ranch dressing, in a greek cucumber sauce like they put on gyro sandwiches, with a little salt, or my favorite is in vinegar with a little bit of sugar left to sit overnight. Only slightly pickled but still taste like cucumbers.

In some areas 'pickled cucumbers' are just refered to as 'pickles'. I understand they are very popular in the United States of America.
