Wow! That's sort of like a virgin birth! It's surprising how often lab tests give false positives. See a different doctor.

It is highly possible, even if your girlfriend doesn't have an STD that she knows of she might still have one, or you could have shared a drink or food with someone who does and doesn't know it.. or maybe they did.. in that case that persons a jerk. But its highly possible, so just be careful next time when you do something like share a drink. You can also get an STD just by sitting on the toilet seat in a public restroom... I know you're a guy and guys dont sit to pee, but they still sit on the seat when they go for number 2! Just be careful, and good luck. Get well.

Best wishes, and God bless.

I don't know. Do you play sports? There is a chance that you could have gotten a cut not realizing it and touched another persons stuff and your blood mixed with theirs. I hope that it is not a serious STD. Keep your head up. I'm not sure but I have to go to the doctor for a check up because she thinks I could have an STD. I'm nervous as hell. I hope you don't. I know if I have it though it is because of my partners mistakes. I wish you the best of luck.

The only thing I can think of is the doctor said you have HSV1 (oral herpes). Most people acquire this infection in childhood from their parents. You can get it by kissing someone or drinking after someone. It is not a big deal at all 90% of the population has it. It is what people commonly call cold sores or fever blisters. The only thing you would have to be careful of is if you had a partner who did not have oral herpes, you would not want to go down on them if you had a cold sore. If they had a history of cold sores then they would be immune to catching that strain on the genitals. Other than that, I mean there are flase positives (although rare) for chlamydia and gonnorhea but I don't know why your doctor would test you for things if you weren't sexually active. I'm assuming he said you have oral herpes.

Depending on the STD, you could have gotten it from a used needle, or if you've ever had a blood infusion the blood you got may have been infected.
