Hey, YOU are the vegetarian and YOU decide to what extent. Most DO NOT eat any flesh meat, but some do eat chicken and/or fish. Some eat eggs and some don't. There are no hard set rules. Being vegetarian is usually a choice (unless degreed by religion, in which case you know what you can and cannot eat), so eat whatever you want my friend. Just make sure your diet is well-blanced and healthy.
Go in peace.

A *real* vegetarian doesn't eat any kind of meat - fish, poultry, pork or beef - or he/she's NOT a vegetarian. Dunno why TH people need to put labels on themselves instead of saying: "I don't like pork/beef etc but I eat fish and chicken".
The *vegeta* part of the word *vegetarian* is the same as in *vegetable* (SURPRISE!!!!) so unless these guys know something I don't, calling yourself a vegetarian but still eat fish and chicken is pretty stupid.
If the reason not to eat meat is ethical, the whole thing's even more puzzling. If you've ever visited a chicken farm or a place where they breed salmon or trout, you know what I mean.

I've found that vegetarians pretty much decide their own boundaries. Some will simply refrain from eating beef and pork, which would leave chicken and fish on the approved list. Some draw the line at chicken, leaving only fish. And some refuse to eat anything with a face, which cuts out anything with flesh basically.

ummmm, yes, you can eat chicken, but then you wouldn't be a vegetarian. If you like meat, I would suggest not being a vegetarian. And really, meats not that bad for you. If we weren't supposed to eat meat animals wouldn't be made of it, right? No offense to vegetarians. I know some people can't eat meat because of health or religious reasons, or just because they choose to, and that's totally fine with me. I even considered being vegetarian once, but I decided that wasn't for me. I hope you find what works best for you.

Chicken is meat, so no vegetarians don't eat chicken. Some vegetarians still eat fish, but some don't.

Chicken is an animal - it has meat. So a true vegetarian would NOT eat chicken.

I'm a vegetarian and when asked this question or the fish question I always compare it to being a straight man. I wouldn't call myself straight if I sucked dick on Mondays i.e. vegetarians don't eat any kind of meat and straight men don't suk d ic k any day of the week.

A vegetarian could eat chicken but not be a vegetarian anymore. Vegetarians do not eat the flesh of any animal but they can have eggs, dairy and cheese.

no, but it depends why you're a vegetarian - if for ethical reasons then no, you can't eat any meat; if you just don't like some meats then choose for yourself which kinds to eat, if any. many vegetarians eat fish however.
