Try this one.
2 1/2 c Self-rising flour
3 ts Baking powder
1 1/3 c sugar
9 tb oil
1 1/2 c Water
extra oil -for greasing
Preheat the oven to 325 F. Grease two 8- to 8-1/2-inch shallow cake pans and line the base of each with a circle of greased wax paper.
Sift the flour, and baking powder into a bowl. Add the sugar, oil and water. Mix well to a batter-like consistency. Pour the mixture into the prepared pans and bake for about 40 minutes, until the cakes spring back to a light touch in the center.
Turn the cakes out onto a wire rack and strip off the wax paper. Allow to cool completely.

You can just leave the eggs out and use extra baking powder and liquid but it does not make a particularly light or tasty cake.
There are egg substitutes that you can get from your local health food shop that work really well, you just add them instead of the egg.
I have made lost of really nice cakes that never fail using egg substitute.

I dont know specially for Victoria sponge cake but my sister is a great cake maker and she always usually "condensed milk" instead of eggs. Her cakes always turn out good.

hi. well i have invented my own recipe for eggless cakes as i do not eat cakes and well all my family loves it so what i do is make a normal cake but instead of adding egg i use milk as they do they same perpose and i use a teaspoon to one cup of self raising flour some baking powder.
also you can use fresh summer fruits as its hot in the middle carfully slice the cake in half and add cream and any friuts in season like rasberries and passionfruit.
im'm sure your friends and familly will adore your cake! bye!

Do you just not have any eggs or are you trying to cut cholesterol? Use eggbeaters egg substitute if you are cutting cholesterol. It will work fine. I don't know what to do if you are out of eggs.
