This is an authentic recipie I got from a Lebanese lady.
Tabbouleh
2 bunches curly parsley, finely chopped
1 oninon, diced small
1 cucumber, seeded and diced
2 firm roma tomatoes, seeded and diced small
1 C. cooked bulgur wheat
Toss all in a large bowl. Dressing follows
Dressing for Tabbouleh
1 clove garlic, minced fine
1/4 C. olive oil (use the good stuff)
1/4 C. rice wine vinegar
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
salt and pepper to taste
Whisk together thoroughly and toss with salad. You can adjust acidity to taste, but the authentic way is make it so it bites back. I love it with hummus and pita bread for vegetarian night.

I have a really simple bean burger recipe and you can add allsorts to it:
drain 1 can of baked beans
drain one can of berlotti beans
whizz the berlotti beans up to form a coarse mixture, mix these up with the baked beans.
add one can of sweetcorn to the mixture and anything else you feel like!
make them into burger shapes and you're done! I find I can get 4 BIG burgers out of this mixture, but you could probably get 6 or 8 regular burgers, it also depends on the extras you add to the basic recipe. Good Luck =]
you can grill them, fry them or bbq them!

Take small zucchini and yellow crookneck squash, slice thinly lengthwise. Take that, and some slices of swiss cheese, and place them between the two halves of a hoagie bun which is reversed so the flat part of the bun is on the outside. Toast it like a grilled cheese sandwich. They are very good, especially dipped in tomato soup. We use olive oil for a healthy grill oil. My wife used to make and sell them at a quick shop she worked at. They couldn't keep them in stock, people liked them so much.
