I'm not very into drinking but there are two beers I really like and I'm a vegetarian so I wanted to know if Brahma and Corona along with Smirnoff Ice(my favorite alcoholic drink) are vegetarian. Thanks.

I have read some animal products are used in fermintation of alcohol so are these drinks ok for a vegetarian, I have seen some lists online but none have been very thorough.

Some beers are "fined" with isenglass which is made from fish. This makes the particulate stuff settle to the bottom of the beer tank.
http://www.veganconnection.com/veganbeer.htm. I don't know about Smirnoff, but there must be a site somewhere listing if it's vegan or not. http://www.satyamag.com/nov03/beerintro.html for a great article.

Beer is made with barley, water & fungus (yeast).
No meat there.
Some beers are "clarified" with fish by-products, or by filtration through "bone-char" made from cows bones, so most beverages are not technically "vegan".
Also, depending on how strict a vegetarian you think you are, the hops, barley, corn etc. harvested to make the beverage almost certainly contained bugs, so they're in there too!
Cheers!

Stop kidding your self. Vegetarians believe in the macrobiotic way of life: fresh and as much natural fruits, soya products and vegetables as possible. There are partial vegetarians who eat fish and other sea-foods. If vodka is your favourite beverage and many of the health food magazines tell us that hard liquor hardens arteries, what are you really saying? So why try to preserve your boday by monitoring the foods that you eat and then tear it down with the drinks you use? "There is a saying: You are what you eat." I guess we could extend it by saying that "We are what we eat and drink."

Beer is made from plants and Smirnoff Ice is a malt beverage, which is basically a flavored beer, so you should be good.

Beer is made from the fermenting of grains. No animals were harmed in the making of this beer.

There is no veg / non veg in alcohols, Beer has high calorie content and make your belly grow, if consumed daily and heavily.
If you are in control of your self, then no worry. Keep the limit and enjoy!
