It is easy -- do not add salt.

Alst acts as a flavor enhancer; problem is it gets added to everything, and in greater quantities

We get used to the high levels. Reduce amounts all round until you are adding none. You'll get used to it.

Add less salt. Simple, effective, healthy. What could be easier?

Then again, if you really can't go without salt, then don't. Enjoy it. Eat up. We won't live forever. You may as well enjoy your salt, even if it shortens your life. Are you really doing anything that's all that important anyway?

Have heard of something called "inthuppu" of Ayurveda. I think it is called "kaala namak" in Hindi. It has medicinal properties as well, I think.
