Thanks so much for the Info Petra. I have been to Cowlick and whereas the Gelato is fresh and the flavors quite good, the texture is truly terrible, both icy and somewhat gummy. Not the smooth creamy melt in your mouth gelato that the Italians make. I've never been to the Biscotti Gelateria in Syracuse but hope to go there soon. If I can I will post here again and let you know.

Hey People, I am about ready to give Petra "Best Answer" unless somebody comes up with another suggestion for me here. I live on Cayuga lake but am willing to travel afar for some great gelato. How about a place on Keuka Lake or Canandaigua Lake or even Owasco Lake. I know there are more gelato lovers out there living in the Finger Lakes of New York State.

I do not know of a gelateria in the Finger Lakes area at all. You will just pretty much find your basic ice cream stand in that area. Most folks up there do not even know what gelato is.
