You can also cut it in cubes and pour soup over the top, however that way it is slightly cooked.

Yes it can. You can make Rubens with uncooked sliced tofu with sauerkraut and some type of dressing. I also like mustard on this combination.
Another great sandwich is sliced uncooked tofu with guacamole with tomatoes and sprouts. This is kind of like a California dreaming. It is very good and takes little time to make.

Yes, tofu is made with cooked soymilk which is then made into curds as one would make cheese. It's all cooked and digestable, ready to go from the box/tub.
