antibiotics dont help crabs...maby you got scabies instead. In addition to pubic lice, there is body lice ..Body lice are tiny parasitic insects (Pediculus humanus corporis) that spread through close contact with other people.

Pubic lice are small, six-legged creatures that invade the genital hair region and infest it with their eggs. These lice can also infest armpit hair and eyebrows, but they are drawn to the pubic region,,Pubic lice are best treated with a prescription wash such as Elimite or Kwell:

Thoroughly work the shampoo into the pubic hair and surrounding area for at least 5 minutes.
Rinse well.
Comb the pubic hair with a fine-tooth comb to remove eggs (nits). Applying vinegar to pubic hair before combing may help loosen nits, but the hair should be dry when applying the shampoo. A single treatment is all that is usually needed. If another treatment is recommended, it should be done 4 days to 1 week later,,,At the time of treatment, wash all clothing and linens in hot water. Items that cannot be washed may be sprayed with a medicated spray or sealed (suffocated) in plastic bags and not used for 10 - 14 days. It is imperative for all intimate contacts to receive treatment at the same time.

People with pubic lice should be evaluated for other sexually-transmitted disease at the time of diagnosis.

The mites that cause scabies burrow into the skin and deposit their eggs, forming a characteristic burrow that looks like a pencil mark. Eggs mature in 21 days. The itchy rash is an allergic response to the mite.

Symptoms

Itching, especially at night
Thin, pencil-mark lines on the skin
Rashes
Abrasions of the skin from scratching and digging ,,,

If you have seen the doctor and the doctor has prescribed you with the antibiotic. You HAVE to finish all of if.

We always have to finish antibiotic even if you feel better.

Why?
1. It is to prevent resistance to the bacteria that cause your illness. Because if you do not finish it bacteria will get higher tendency to be resistant to the antibiotic that you are using and once bacteria is resistance to this particular antibiotic , the next time you use the same antibiotic, it would not work on you again. You have to change new type of antibiotic. This is not favourable as it narrows down the variety of antibiotic you can take, Also, some antibiotic maybe more expensive.

2. Although you may feel better the bacteria might still be in you but its just that the amount that is left is not significant enough to harm you. So finish the whole course of therapy would be the right thing to do

Over-the-counter lotions that contain the chemical permethrin such as Rid and Nix will get rid of the lice. After washing with the lotion, use a fine-toothed comb to comb out the crabs and their eggs (called nits). Your sexual partner(s) must be treated as well, and all clothing or bedding that may be infested must be washed in very hot water or dry-cleaned. In some cases, clothing, towels, or bedding may need to be washed a few times before they're completely lice-free.

I've never heard of taking antibiotics for crabs (they can be easily treated with medicated lotion). But, if your doctor prescribed them then you need to finish all of them. Even if you are starting to feel better, you should always finish taking antibiotics.

Crabs are lice and antibiotics don't kill lice. Do you have a secondary infection from them? My advice is to see a doctor and make sure that is what you have. In the mean time don't give it to someone else!!!!

apply lice killing shampoo and shave off all your pubic hair. you also have to clean all your bed linens in case of reinfestation. you don't really need a doctor unless u think u have a secondary infection such as bacteria vaginitis which includes a fishy odor, or something else serious such as a discolored, smelly discharge such as chylamadia, gonnerhea, but if you have none of the secondary infections just do the shampoo and shave.
