Although I go long periods without meat, I am not vegan or vegetarian.
In my humble opinion, vegans and vegetarians in time get too passive, lacking in vitality and 'fight.' Not necessarily a bad thing in times of plenty, peace and easy sailing. But when the going gets tough, the person gets a bit older etc., they would be well advised to add a little meat to their diets.
Eat only the "Clean" meats according to ancient cultures. Avoid high tech meats, like chicken, too, as they do not digest well, thanks to all the antibiotics, preservatives and chemicals not only in the birds, but also in the feed they get.
A balance is the desired effect.

I'm slowly going toward vegetarian- but my dad would kill me..he hates vegetarians and vegans he thinks it's dumb
