If you pick at a wart you will most likely irritate it and cause them to spread more around the genital area and even around the anus. If a person has genital warts the best thing to do is to leave them alone! They should only be touched if you are bathing or applying medication to them.

If you do not get treatment for genital warts, you can get some SERIOUS difficulties. They will travel, get into the colon and continue up to the intestines. You MUST get ALL of them treated NOW before you need to go under the knife. I know of people who had to do this because they waited too long.

It may spread depending on how deep you pick. I would'nt touch it. Try over the counter wart remover, then if that doesn't work see a doctor.

They bleed and scab over. When they heal, you still have a wart.
