Funny you should ask this question. The other day I was at Kroger and noticed that Kraft now has a wedge of parmesan with a cheese grater with it. A new product in your local grocery store. Of course, it wasn't the kind of grater you mentioned, but it does come with the cheese...

Get your self a grater that has 4 different sizes/textures of grating services. The one we have got has small, medium and large holes, plus a grater that can do chocolate curls.
I think it came from a shop that sells nothing but kitchen utencils.

Parmesan is such a hard cheese, you cannot use a regular grater for this. You have to go to a gourmet shop to get the right one that will do the job.

any good hardware shops that sell kitchen equipment. failing that, just use a normal cheese grater

Try William Sonoma or Sur La Table. Personally I prefer a microplane, which you can also get at either of these places. Both have websites.
