Doniar meat is an east mediterranean way of cooking meat (normally lamb or beef) roasting it on an upright spit. (The greek call it GYROS). The turkish and other oriental peoples eat it quite a lot...The meat once roasted is sliced directly off the spit on to a piece of Pita bread...

Doniar meat is only roasted vertically, on a spit - like greek gyros. There's nothing special about it, other than it tastes great.
