Please tell me you use a condom!! You can get HIV, Herpes of the throat and mouth, Syphilis and any number of STDs! No sex or protected sex whether it be oral, anal or vaginal (as previously stated in one of the answers given in here) is the only way to go if you are sexually active these days. If you are asking this question, I think you may need to get tested for STDs. Go to your local clinic (many of which will do these tests for FREE) or Planned Parenthood (free or small fee according to income) just to be on the safe side and hopefully you will have a second chance and be wiser in the future!

Yes - and even with use of a condom - there are STDS that can also be spread through intercourse EVEN WITH use of a condom so condoms are not even close to 100% for the prevention of STDs. Also - know that HPV(genital warts) and herpes can be spread EVEN when there are NO visible symptoms. So if a man/woman, for example, has oral herpes (cold sores) but has no visible signs of them he/she can give them to you in the genital area from oral sex. So - you also have to worry about mouth to genital transmission, not just genital to mouth - and to take it further, no signs and perform oral and then kiss you and you were to perform oral - spreads everywhere. This is why it is so important that you know your partner and are open and honest about your sexual histories and get checked and tested - maybe even together before starting a sexual relationship. Several - MOST STDs show NO signs at all - so so many people think - ok the area looks fine, must be ok and that is the biggest problem - almost every STD has no symptoms and that is why they are so prevalent - people don't know. So - there is no way to know other than testing for all of them despite not showing any signs and to be honest and be tested before and after every relationship - not just for HIV but for everything at your primary dr.

Very definitely, YES!!

Any transfer of bodily fluids whether orally, vaginally or rectally can transfer an STD.

WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! AIDS is an STD. Use a condom, even for oral. Not tasty but a lot safer.

How would you get a sexually transmitted disease from someone you say does not have one? That's like asking if you can catch a cold from spending time with someone who doesn't have a cold. An STD has to be present before you can get it...that's what the "T" stands for (transmitted meaning passing from one person to another). If no disease is present, then there's nothing to transmit. Please talk to your doctor about STDs, what they are, the ways the can be transmitted, etc. You apparently need to educate yourself on this.

yes. there is mucous membrain at the back of your throat that allows things to be absorbed into the bloodstream. That's mainly for things like HIV that it would get you that way but there are others like herpes, warts, and many others that you can get from oral sex. wanna know if you are safe with a partner, get tested with them, there are free places to do that,
