No, Taco Bell does not use lard in their beans. As a long-time veg, I have looked this up and verified it myself on their website.
The tostadas, mexican pizzas and taco salads are all delicious for ovo-lacto vegetarians. Just ask them to leave off the beef and enjoy.

They stopped using lard years ago. I remember hearing it on the news, since it was something of a controversy, as was McDonalds using animal fat to cook their fries. I've been a vegetarian for 37 years and I get a bean burrito or bean tostada at Taco Bell occasionally. If there was lard, I would be able to tell by a greasy feel in my mouth, or taste it, or get sick from eating it, and that has never happened.

Yes - refried beans always have lard. You can tell because if you leave it in the fridge, the little white lumps are the lard.

no they do not as a rule.the little white lumps are natural oils in the beans.its always good to ask because sometimes some of the looser franchises use some chicken or beef flavorings to enhance a cheaper product line.
