One time this big gator got into my uncle's lawn, so we killed it then cooked it. If you've ever eaten gator, tell me what you thought of it.

I ate it in Florida when I lived there. There was an art and food fest in town and some people came up and handed out these little picks with bbq'd meat. I had no idea it was gator until after I had eaten it. It was good, but it took me awhile to believe them when they told me what it was. I doubt I'd have tried it if I'd known in advance. But truthfully, it was really good. Yup, tastes like chicken!

I had roasted alligator in Florida. They say it tastes like chicken but I'm not sure about that. Maybe slightly, it's not something I would ever want again. I thought it was spicy and swampy, couldn't get it quite to the mouth, I didn't like the smell.

I think what you get in Kenya is crocodile; and yes, I have had that there. Alligator is similar. I had some at a Caribbean restaurant once. It is mild tasting, not fishy, but very fat. I didn't care for it.

Yes; I used to live in Kenya. Alligator meat tastes like chicken! No joke.

It's quite nice, firm flesh. Frozen crocodile, imported into thailand from Australia, can be bought at Macro outlets. Probably Lotus outlets too, but I buy mine from Macro.

I have only tried alligator stew at a restaurant in New Orleans... It was good. A bit chewy, but still pretty tasty.

I've had it smoked and BBQ'ed. It's a little sweet and chewy but not bad.
