Yep, It is Supervalu. I live in Minnesota where Supervalu is based. I read about the sale months ago in the business section of the StarTribune. Buy 'em up take 'em apart and make more money!!!

I just looked up Supervalu on the Web and Albertson's is listed as one of their chains. See

The massive store closings are due to the strike a few years ago.

i'm not sure. they're closing left in right in texas too. i guess they are being bought out.
