i know i hate it because they always look at u weird when you r eating some animal

Absolutely, perhaps this site has had a positive effect.
As a long time vegetarian I have learned a lot and gleaned some great recipes here.
Now all we need is to get rid of the anti-veges who post obnoxious q&a.

yes because there has benn less and less care for animal slaughter these day's the are being treated worse and worse every day.
We try to fix it but it seems like no one is listening UNTIL NOW!!
Now there are so many alternatives such as soy chicken patties and better tasting veggie burgers
yet it is weird in my town it seem's no one except me and my brother is veggie.
I live in the south so that might be why whatever

My 14 year old daughter has decided she is vegetarian (although I tease her and tell her you need to LIKE vegetables in order to be a vegetarian) and my hubby is true meat and potatoes guy. I'm in the middle wanting to cut red meat out of my diet. You can imagine what dinner is like at MY house.....geeze!!!

i think you are right. I don't know why though the last 2 months i turned veggie. and i am doing great! That is good though!

To some its a hip "life style", and to others a conciencious choice for life and health.....me? i love protein. Would ya pass the steak already!
