Nope! Your body does require FAT, but that doesn't mean oil. Avocado, nuts, seeds, whole grains...all of these contain natural, healthy fats with plenty of other vitamins and minerals. I'm not saying that you can't use oil, but whenever possible, use a food that already contains it instead. Cold-pressed canola oil is best for cooking (as it can withstand higher temperatures than most other oils), cold-pressed olive oil is what many people swear by for salads and bread, and (cold-pressed) flaxseed oil is used mainly for the great omega-3 concentration that it has.

Yes, I would say you need oil in your daily diet, but only certain kinds. There are the good ones and the bad ones. For example, eat nuts, use olive oil and other stuff like that is good for you. Some people buy fish oil and consume it in their diet which has your essential omega 3 fatty acids. Just eating some fish preferably fish from northern cold waters would be just fine. Another popular oil people consume would be flax seed oil which you wouldn't have to consume in oil form. Just add in food or whatever the directions say. Avoid the oils concentrated in saturated fats like coconut oil, lard and stuff like that.

Yes, your body does require some oil. Apparently it has something to do with the lubrication of the colon or something like that. It does not mean that we have to smother our food with oils. In fact the body can produce these oils/lubricants naturally from the various foods which we eat. Vegetarian foods as well as meats. Everything that we eat has some sort of natural oils in it. Some foods obviously have more fats/oils than others of course.
