Genital warts are treatable but the virus that causes them is not curable. Genital warts doesn't cause HPV, it's actually the other way around. HPV can cause genital warts, and hand and feet warts. It can also cause cervical cancer, penile cancer, anal cancer and neck cancer. There is no cure for HPV because it is a virus. The only thing you can do is treat the symptoms from HPV. Some people (and this is really rare) can actually get rid of the virus, but again, this is pretty rare. Females should get a pap smear done at least once a year, especially if they know they have the virus. Getting a pap smear every year can help prevent cervical cancer which kills 300,00 women a year. A pap smear can detect abnormal cells on the cervix which can lead to cervical cancer.

Genital Warts are treatable, and most cases go away by themselves after a month or so. But the virus that causes them cannot be cured, so the warts may reoccur. By the way: HPV causes Genital Warts, but not everyone who has HPV will show signs of warts. So, if you have warts, you also have HPV. You will need to be seen regularly by a doctor, because HPV has also been linked to cancer.

Genital warts are indeed caused by a virus, that virus is as other have mentioned HPV, or the Human Papilloma Virus. There are many different strains of this virus and some causes warts and others do not. Research has clinically proven that certain strains of HPV are a direct cause of cervical cancer, hence why there is a vaccine near approval for the prevention of cervical cancer by immunizing against these strains of HPV.
Since HPV is a virus, you cannot treat it with antibiotics as you would for other various STD's. The best treatment is to freeze or excise the warts surgically and practice safe sexual habits.
If you have genital warts, you should also see your gynecologist on a frequent basis for pap smears for early detection of cervical epithelial changes which could herald early cancer.

Genital warts, like regular warts are removable, but not curable. Like many viruses, there is always a possibility of another outbreak. To remove them, the freeze them and cut them off...virtually painless. HPV is what causes the warts, but not everyone will break out with them. The key is to get to a gynecologist immediately and have them removed and get checked out for the HPV. This is nothing to fool with. Left unattended can be dangerous and the warts are highly contagious. To lessen the possibility of another outbreak, keep the area very clean and use condoms faithfully

You got that backwards HPV causes genital warts. They are not so curable because when you get the virus in your body it stays forever. You can have them burnt off chemically removed etc, but they come back often. It is so frustrating.

HPV is not curable in that there is no cure, but there is no cure for the flu either and most people recover. Over 90% of HPV infections are cleared by the body within 2 years. Unfortunately, there is no test to determine whether a person is still contagious, so your neighbor can never really be sure it's gone.

HPV causes genital warts, not vice versa. And not all strains of HPV cause genital warts. But once you have them, they can be burned off but the virus stays with you forever.

Moles, warts, and skin tags are normal epidermis wounds that develop naturally. While they're typically low malignant, they could be humiliating if situated on an obvious portion including the face.
