Most people's blood sugar is low first thing in the morning. You should not measure blood sugar levels right after you eat, as your body has not had sufficient time to absorb the sugar, and other things out of the food. You may be getting sleepy after eating breakfast because you are eating a surgary breakfast and the sugar is burnign off quickly, sending your blood surgar plunging back down. Try eating friut on the morning. The sugares in fruit should stay with you and not make you sleepy. If you continue having problems, seek medical attention, as you may have a form of diabetes.

the 1st question I'd like to ask how do you know that you have low blood sugar?? do you feel its symptoms, 'cause there are other things that might trigger similar symptoms and not necessarily be low blood sugar.

But for argument's sake let say you do wake up with a low blood sugar. There is a mid line between diabetic and a normal person called carbohydrate intolerance, and this could be a reason why you blood sugar is to low.

Another reason is just the simple Physiologic fact that you have been 8 hours fasting and your blood sugar definitely should be lower than after a meal or mid day when you are active.

My suggestion is to go to you general practitioner and comment this to him/her, the most logical thing to do is give you a physical and then do some lab work. it most probably isn't something to worry about but you should be careful

People's blood sugar is normally a little low first thing in the morning. That is why we are normally hungry. However, if your blood sugar is too low you will experience alot more symptoms than tiredness. You will be shaky, sometimes cranky, fuzzy brained etc.
If you eat just carbs for breakfast (ie. toaster pastries, cereal, bread etc.) you are only getting quick calories and they wear out quickly. Eat something that is protien based. Lean meats, eggs , some cheese add protien and hold you longer.
If you are experiencing shakiness etc. see a physician you may be hyperglycemic.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Sounds like you could be rebounding. Sleepy usually means my son has gone high. You are suppose to test before a meal then 2 hours later to see how it works with your treatment plan. My son had to change his bed time snack to increase his blood sugar for overnight. This is definitely a doctor question not a web question when you can get ill advice.

Hmm i think people will usually get sleepy after meal. This is usually due to the certain signal that being sent to the brain.

so i must say that after a meal esp. a heavy one its normal to feel sleepy. I experienced it myself too.

But for your case, with low blood sugar. I m not very sure but thats all i can say about it.

Possibly hypoglycemic. Try having something with protien for breakfast like peanut butter. That really helps to stabilize sugar.
