It is known that people have eaten cockroaches to survive when trapped under building bricks destroyed by earthquakes... In such bad situations it is probably ok.
But if you knew there was a sandwich in your home with nice bread and salad and jam (no mayonnaise) then why would you eat this sandwich? Thats the first sandwich you would eat then come to the next.....
Of course if you are American or British or European then you would write sandwich on paper and try to eat it to survive... Then blame the Indians.
