Well I have been a Vegetarian for over 12 years now and I will occasionally get a craving. It's usually triggered by a smell, like a BBQ. I stopped eating meat because I felt that the food source was becoming too contaminated, and I disliked the cruel methods in which our meat is raised and slaughtered.
As long as your life choices are healthy ones then go for it. I choose not to eat meat but I completely respect my friends decision to do so,.

It depends on the purpose for which you are a vegetarian. When the vegetarianism is triggered from your heat and soul, then you will never think of meat as simply answered by MB Days.
Otherwise, if the purpose is for some health consciousness or due to some external rule without an internal policy, then the tendancy to dream of meat is possible.

Once upon a time, less than a year into my vegetarianism, I had a craving for a cold roast beef sandwich. I didn't indulge the craving, it passed and I swear to the moon that I've never had a craving or desire for meat since.

No. I would not be a vegetarian if I did. Most vegetarians do not crave meat. The idea where it came from is more then enough to gross me out. I reach for a boca burger!

I regret that yes, i did.
I was working in a garden centre off the motorway and out of town so there was nowhere to ge and buy food and I had forgotten my veggetarian meal that day and I was SOOO hungry and I went into the crappy cafe and I just could not face the crapy three day old limp salad and so I just bought a minc meat pie.
I really felt bad about that but it was just wonderfull. all that gravy and the tasty pastry and mmmmm.
Anyway. I really did feel bad about it.
14 years later I stopped being vegetarian. no excuses. I just did.

NO!! I am a vegetarian out of strong conviction, and wouldn't eat it if nobody knew. And if I ate meat, I would be open about it.

No. Eating an animal is gross. I've never had a craving to eat people either. It's all the same to me.
