We've had a halloween party the past 2 yrs. 2004 everyone got drunk, danced and the kids felt left out (we forgot to do the games). 2005 it ended up being more of a kid party. This year, my friend is having her 40th bday on 10/28 so i was thinking of not having a party. Last year didn't seem that great. Do you think people will still come & give it another chance? Also, would it be ok to have it the week prior to actual halloween?

Party on honey!!!! The world is going to hell real quick, so live it up!!!! perhaps you could hire a party planner, they aren't that expensive, or find one that is just starting out. Anyway, PARTY!!!

Nah, I would skip it this year, especially since there is another party close to the date. Any who wants to dress up for a Halloween party way far in advance? Save it for next year, and send out invites early. Maybe have a kids party earlier in the day and then an adult costume party at night! :)

once you party until finally your hair smells like smoke, you haven't any longer any theory the place the garments you're wearing got here from, and you do no longer understand how on the earth it have been given to be 3 days later, it particularly is a party. I lived in an apt while i became youthful with my superb pal who became a drug broker at that factor. I bear in mind dozens and dozens of untamed roaring under the impact of alcohol and stoned events the place i did no longer have a clue who 80% of the folk at it have been, of course the fixtures did no longer thrive in that environment. i do no longer understand no count if the final straw for me became the fool that theory pouring a bottle of vodka into the aquarium became an rather solid theory reason the "fish would desire to get lit too", or the fool I caught feeling my subconscious fiancee up, a scene extremely similar to Jesus clearing the Pharisees out of the temple ensued after that one, i understand that. besides Zacho, you have exciting, yet for Me, i'm kinda happy it particularly is throughout. i'd say party by using Boston. BA: Geeze, it may well be an undesirable long record. **PJ, Amen on your amen, brother

Hmmm....why don't you collaborate with some friends and see what ideas that they have? You could have a surprise 40th bday party...and YES you can have the party the week before Halloween.

Have the party - any reason to celebrate will work! I like the idea of having it a week before Halloween - that way you can have fun and on Halloween your kids can have fun. Satisfies everyone. Woo-hoo!

If your friend's 40th birthday party is close to Halloween don't steal his/her thunder. Maybe just do a little kids party on that day.

yeah i think maybe you should pitch inand have it somewhere else -OR- you could get a few friends and put in some ideas and have a duel host job. Keep the kids involved by haveing the oldest kid try for one no older than 11 to suppervise and maybe let them create their one "party" that is away from yours. THat way they feel like they are doing somthing important and hey if they dont have any fun they can blame themselves? haha. GOOD LUCK!

Why not have two parties - one for the adults a week before, and one for the kiddies at Halloween?

It's somebody else's turn to clean up the mess the day after. hit up your friends who attended your parties in the past. Ask them if they know of any good parties.
