most likely youre getting PVCs or PACs (premature ventricular/atrial contractions). but im not a doctor so maybe you should see one to make sure thats the problem.

theyre scary since you constantly feel your heart stop but they are harmless in the vast majority of people (ive heard something like 70% of people get atleast 1 a day) but sometimes it can mean you have a bad valve or electrolye imbalance something so if you get more than just a few per day you should have them checked out with a cardiologist to be on the safe side. stress, caffeine, lack of sleep, smoking, alcohol are some of the common triggers that aggravate them, look them up on the internet. if you get hundreds a day like me or if they really bother you they can put you on a beta blocker that can help to reduce them

You are having palpitations. You would have to see a doctor to give you a diagnosis. Usually this can be done by a 24 or 48 hour holter monitor. You go to the hospital and they put leads on your chest and you wear the monitor for 24 or 48 hours then return the monitor to the hospital where it is read by a cardiologist and he dictates a report. The report tells exactly what kind of heart beats are happening at what time of the day/nite. You could be having anything from premature beats, to spurts of Premature ventricular contractions.
See your physician whenever possible if it is bothering you

PS: I am a heart patient since 18 yrs old and a Registered nurse.

I get that too sometimes. I went to see my Dr who couldn't hear anything wrong and said I was fine. Chances of my having one while the Dr is listening are one in a few thousand. I guess it can't be too bad or he would have told me what it was. I've had it since I was about 19 (my Dr then didn't care either) and I'm now 32, it tends to be worse when I'm putting on or losing weight, feels better when I'm exercising on a regular basis, though I still have it from time to time. I don't think it's anything to worry about, but you might want to ask your doc anyway. Sorry I can't be of much help!
