If it was a cold sore then yes. But, since you said herpes simplex virus 2 (which is typically genital herpes) the answer is no.

I have had genital herpes for over 5 years. I sometimes will share a drink with my mother or one of my girlfriends. I have NEVER passed the virus on to them that way. Genital herpes is only spread by sex and skin to skin contact with the area. There are other ways like childbirth, but this is pretty rare. So no, you can not get genital herpes from drinking after someone.

I got diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 5 years ago, when I was still attending college and had a silly one-night stand. I realize a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/Pbu6F everything got better.

Not only was I able to remove all traces of the hsv from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This method provided the opportunity to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

I hate how men and women faux that they understand what they're speakme approximately. Okay, there are two extraordinary varieties of herpes (each very identical, but in addition have many variations) simplex one million and simplex two. Simplex one million is the style that's so much traditionally discovered on or across the mouth. Simplex two is so much traditionally discovered within the genital neighborhood and is far a lot more extreme. However, each varieties of herpes might flare up in any position for your frame. I imply ANYWHERE, from head to toe. The most important factor approximately each varieties of herpes is that they're each extremely spreadable via any type of touch with the sores. So, if she has simplex two except you in which touching the sores then you are going to be pleasant. If she has simplex one million and has a virus on her lip and stocks your drink, there's a threat however quite provided that the lession touched the straw then touched you. You must be ready, but it surely in no way hurts to be alert. I desire that used to be handy for you.

If they have an outbreak, and the skin is broken, then yes. But for genitle herpes, you just have to have close skin to skin contact at any time.

Are you talking about simplex 1 on the mouth? If so, it may be possible. Never kiss anyone or let them drink from your glass if you have an outbreak.
