Yes HPV can cause warts on the genital area, feet and hand warts. There are over 100 different kinds of HPV and only a handful cause cancer and warts. You can get cervical cancer if you have one of the strains that causes it (obviously you have at least one that causes feet warts). There are at least a dozen strains of HPV that cause cancer. You should really see a doctor if they are hurting you and get a pap smear done while you are there. A pap smear is the best thing to do to catch abnormal cells on the cervix, which can lead to cervical cancer.

And the first girl is correct about it being an STD, since that is the most common way it is spread (sexually), but it can be spread just by simple skin to skin contact too - no sex invovled.

First of all, both plantar warts and HPV are viruses, BUT plantar warts are NOT a sexually transmitted disease, like HPV is, and do NOT increase your risk of cervical cancer. Plantar warts will sometimes "run their course" that is, go away on their own, like most viruses, but this can take a long time. Most of the time, they need to be treated, because they hurt. Both of my children had plantar warts when they were in high school (probably spread in the locker rooms). They had to be taken to a dermatologist (skin doctor) for treatment. He tried some medication first, but that didn't work, so he eventually used cryotherapy (froze them with nitrogen gas). This creates kind of like a blister on them while healing, but it finally got rid of them. Don't waste your time trying over the counter drugs. Plantar warts tend to be quite deep and need more aggressive therapy. Good luck!

There are 100 types of HPV. only 40 of them are sexually transmitted. Some cause warts others cause cancer and some pretty much just sit there picking their nose. HPV is getting to be as common as a cold. If you are really frightened go see your dr.

the strain of HPV for plantar warts on your foot is completely different from the one that is the STD/one you can get cervical cancer from

if they were genital warts, i would say yes, there is a chance you may develop cervical cancer, but if not, i'd say theres not much chance

i've heard duct tape works alright, i'm actually going to try it out myself

you leave the duct tape over the wart for 6 days, take it off, then use a foot brush to take skin off and then continue this until it has gone away

There are 100 types of HPV. I seriously doubt that warts on your feet qualify, but it's best to get expert help.

i doubt you have HPV if you have warts on your feet... just don't try to stick them anywhere lol

but get a pap done, HPV affects 80% of the sexually active population. I know bc I had it, developed cervical dysplasia... no worries because I had a laserlization and have been fine since.
