For just herpes, it's not life threatening, so you can't send them to jail, BUT if you get a good lawyer, you can sue them for suffering and emotional stress (for the rest of your life), and if the judge awards you, then you could get payments from the person for the rest of your life (the money will be garnished from their wages).
If we're talking STDs, then if you get a good attorney, and you can prove that they knew beforehand that they had AIDS (or just HIV), then yes; that is a death sentence, and you should be able to put them in jail, but on this one, I'm not sure. For the herpes paragraph, I am postive.

I've never heard of someone going to jail for passing on an STD. You'd have to somehow prove that he knew he had herpes and gave it to her on purpose. Even then, it would probably be a civil matter.
Anyway, unless he raped her, she had every chance to take proper precautions prior to being exposed.

She would have to prove that he knew he was infected and knowingly infected her. But she could sue him. Since it's not a deadly disease, I don't think you'll find a court willing to prosecute him for it.
(On an aside, why should a teacher know better? Shouldn't your gf, as a non-brain-dead adult have known better and use protection?)

You'd be laughed at and told to be more careful next time. Your anger is justified, However, nothing can be done about it now except to get it treated and not spread the problem around. Maybe the two of you should see two doctors? One for your anger, the other for the infection.

If a person has HIV and does not disclose the information to their partner, it is a crime and they can be sent to jail. I am not sure if this is true about all states, but in Illinois this hold true.

If so, Yes you can and you can have him arrested for rape if you were under 18 at the time even if you were in agreement.

Not sure, I think it really depends. She should have used protection in the first place, and if he knew he had it before they got intimate and never told her, it could be a problem. But she shoulda been safe.
