Perhaps there was a momentary power interruption to the equipment (ie: generator check of the facility) or one of the leads attached to you became loosened. I wouldn't worry about it, you're still with us and you didn't need CPR-it's a good day!!

Loose wire, or a power cut. Complain to Con Ed : )

Your doing nothing wrong, there is something wrong with the monitor, get it checked out.

I'd assume that the heart monitor became detached from you. Or maybe you died...

I would Definitely question the equipment before I would my own body. Humans rely and put much more “faith” in their own technology than they ought to.
