It's genital herpes, I'd bet on it. You might have ended up with another gift along with it as well. You need to get tested for all the STDs. Please go buy some condoms. Sex is so not worth all this trouble.

Hello:
To answer your question, based on your symptoms of a blister on the penis and abdominal pain, these do not point toward a diagnosis of HIV. If you engage in high risk sex, ie. not using a condom, barebacking, etc. then you should definately get a baseline HIV antibody test and then at least yearly.
As far as the blister on your penis, two things come to mind. Firstly, if the blister is painful and it started as a blister but then became an ulcer, it is most likely HSV II (herpes simplex virus 2; the causative agent for genital herpes).
If the blister/sore was painless when this points toward a diagnosis of syphilis.
Both types of blister/sores/ulcers will go away on their own without treatment, but you need to get certain tests to confirm what the blister really is. I suggest you go to your physician and ask for an STD (sexually transmitted disease) workup. This includes HIV antibodies, RPR (the test for syphilis which is tested by blood draw), gonorrhea and chlamydia (tested by inserting a very small swab into the penis, hurts a little but is very quick), HSV II IgG and IgM antibodies (the IgG will tell if you were infected in the past and the IgM will tell if you were just recently infected with herpes, Hepatitis B antibody test (hepatitis B is 100 times easier to contract than HIV through sexual contact because the HIV virus is very fragile and the Hep B virus is a very strong, hardy virus).
As far as the muscle pains and cramping, these are coincidental to the blister. They represent something completely separate from the lesion on your penis. When you go in for your STD workup, let the physician know about the muscle weakness and cramping, but like I said these symptoms have nothing to do with your initial question.
Do not just forget about that blister. Like I said it will go away on its own, but if it is syphilis it will linger in the body and eventually get into the nervous system causing neurosyphilis which is bad.
If it is herpes, then your doctor can give you Valtrex, acyclovir or famvir prescription to keep on hand in case you break out with another blister. These meds are very effective in reducing the length of time the blister is there, but it also helps to heal it faster too.
Again, PLEASE DO NOT let this go. Get it checked out, get a diagnosis and get it treated.
I hope this helped answer your question and alleviate some of your concerns.
Regards,
Warren Shaffer, M.D.

Go to the doctor, this is too serious for me to an educated guess on. If you can not afford a doctor go to a free clinic. Hopefully it's something that is curable. Be safe and take care.

Its not likely to be HIV as the symptoms don't show like this. Could well be herpes like you said. Go to doctors asap as antibiotics can help this. You need to tell whoever you slept with at them time and since then too.

HIV doesn't cause blisters. It's likely herpes. Get tested to be sure.
