Could be just about anything, only a doctor is qualified to diagnose your problem. Get to a doctor as soon as you can.

I had the exact same problem a few years back. After seeing a few doctors and having multiple chest x-rays, they determined it was the muscles in my chest and around my heart area that were constricting.

I had just gone through a very stressful period of my life and apparently having a difficult time relaxing, causing my these muscles to tighten up.

Eventually, the doctor prescribed a muscle relaxer medication and that made the pain go away. I only had to stay on the medication for about 3 weeks and it never came back.

If you were opposed to pain medication, I'm sure any relaxation tecnique would accomplish the same thing.

However, not knowing your health history or situation though, the best advice would be see you doctor and get it checked out to make sure it isn't anything serious. Good luck!

You might have heart disease, I think that this is one of the symtoms. You might need to call the doctor or someone to see if they know what's happening and they might say you need to go to the ER. This could also be symtoms of a heart attack. When I had those pains, I was on my period and i rushed to the hospital, they put me on an oxygen machine and kept me in for two days. They never did know what happened to me, but I have never had the pains sense.

My advice would be to call the doctor and see what they have to say. If you wake up to these pains in the night than you should call a night nurse and ask them. They are usually very helpful.

Hope this helps you!

It does not sound like it is cardio related, but you should go to a doctor and find out exactly what it is. Maybe get what they call a "stress test" done. It could also be angina (heart pain) and you may need to take nitroglycerin. Try taking an aspirin (it is a vasodialator) next time you have the pain to see if it helps. If it does, the nitro would definately help - but any way, go to a doctor!

you should go see a doctor and he/she will tell u if its something serious. many times things like that happen for no reason and will go away soon.(or a growing pain if ur young but i dont know). maybe ur feeling a heart murmur. But if its a functional one its ok.
