They get recognized as an actor with a paycheck for the commercial. Alot of the united states has herpes, maybe 1 in 3

Did you ever see that episode of Friends where Joey got an acting job and it was for a herpes comercial? I'm sure if you were standing next to a big poster about herpes or something and someone saw you, they would make the connection.

Hehe. That's funny. No, I don't think they get recognized. If I was an actor I would be in the commercial, these medicines help people.

Yeah I saw something on TV about that where this girl who had been in one of those commercials said people were coming up to her telling her about their herpes problems and she would have to tell them that she was just an actress and didn't actually have the disease. That's embarrassing.
Yeah I'd do it for the money I don't care.

Ha, ha, ha. That is very funny to think about. I bet the recognition is not a problem until they "hit it big". How would that be?..."Hey don't I know you?...Oh yeah, your that girl on the genital herpes commercial, hows that cream working?"
And..yes I would be in one of those commercials. Dignity is over-rated.

who pays attention to herpes commercials, i wouldn't know those people if they had a valtrex sign on them. There is no way i would tell billions of people i had herpes whether i did or not, they will probably never get another job

I have wondered the same thing myself--wouldn't it be nice to have someone approach you in a restaurant and yell, "Hey,aren't you the herpes girl?" YUCK!! I think I'd have to be really hard up for a job to accept that one. I know they say all publicity is good publicity, but that may the exception to the rule.

I've wondered the same thing. I wouldn't want to be in a commercial like that.
