Yes you can. And the correct term is genital herpes not vaginal herpes. If somone has genital herpes (herpes simplex virus 2) and not cold sores (which is the kind on your lips and mouth area) they can kiss someone and not spread the virus to them. If a person were to perform oral sex on someone who has genital herpes then they can possibly get cold sores from that person. But if the person does not have cold sores and kisses someone, then they can not get herpes from them that way. It's estimated that at least 70% of the world has cold sores (herpes simplex virus 1).

yes, but if you have vaginal herpes which is called hsv type 2, you can also have type 2 orally. same goes for type 1 which are the common "cold sores" they can be vaginal also. So you need to figure out first what type you have and if you do have either form oral yes it can be spread. But if you only have it genitally then no. jsut use proper procautions, and wash your hands frequently to prevent spread of infection.
