If you do suspect you may be diabetic GET TO A DOCTOR!!!
It can easily kill you. All it takes is for you to hit a hypo and pass out at the wrong moment and....BANG
If you catch it early enough you can reduce your dependancy on insulin.

Hi
I you suspect you are diabetic, you must go to see your doctor.
My son became diabetic when he was twelve (type 1 which means insulin injections twice per day). He lives an active and normal life, just has to watch what he eats, but has it well under control. He goes for his check up once every three months at the hospital.
Obviously we would prefer him to have his health, but we always say it could have been something worse.
I realised something was wrong a few months before. It all started when he complained about a funny feeling in his tummy and feeling unwell. I made him a doctors appointment on the Monday but by wednesday he said he felt okay. (His appointment was for the Friday) I was going to cancel his appointment, but forgot. So I still took him on the Friday, but by then he was drinking like a fish and looked very pale and obviously going to the toilet a lot even in the night.
On the Friday I explained to the doctor that he felt very tired and was drinking a lot, diabetes was the first thing she picked up on. All she did was ask him for a urine sample which she tested with a stick and bingo. His reading was 20 and it should have been between 4 and 7.
I had to take him straight to hospital, they did a simple blood test and it proved he was diabetic. They started him on insulin straight away.
He has, what they call pen needles, which are about half a centimetre needles, he injects himself. If you didn't know he was diabetic, then nobody would know.
Get checked out, better be safe than sorry. It can be very dangerous if you leave it.
Hope this helps

There is no way to KNOW without getting a test. There are symptoms that could point to diabetes, or possibly that you are only on the road to diabetes. Or just have high or low blood sugar but not diabetes. But if you are having some symptoms, then you need to get checked and not just handle it all on your own. If you are thinking of self treatment well then you need to know what you are treating. I've seen too many people be admitted to the hospital for uncontrolled diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis....some serious stuff. So if you have symptoms, just go get checked.

Diabetes can be very difficult to self-diagnose. Some of the more common symptoms are dry mouth and unquenchable thirst, frequent urination, excessive fatigue, feeling faint especially before mealtime, heavy drowsiness after a meal, especially a high-carb meal. Please don't be afraid to have your blood checked by your doctor. If you have the early signs of diabetes, it can be controlled with diet and exercise, or with a once-a-day pill. Otherwise, you're asking for big trouble.

I had thought that I had diabetes for some time. My doctor kept putting me off... I landed in the hospital ER, and sure enough, I not only have diabetes, but I have had it for some time.
Please, seek out a doctor that will actually listen to what you have to say, and run all the appropriate tests.

Have a session with either an Iridologist or a reflexologist. They can tell you without you having to mention it yourself. I have had 2 courses of treatment with a good reflexologist in Malaysia and they can tell everything about your health without even asking. I believe they treated patients who were diabetic and were able to cure the problem. A good Iridologist can pick it up instantly and would cost next to nothing for the consultation as well. Hope this helps, Good luck!!

Find your local diabetes association
Buy some diabetic urine dip sticks (they have a thing that changes colour if there is sugar in your urine)
Wee into a cup and use the dip stick
Most normal people won't have sugar in their wee-wee
Untreated diabetics OFTEN have sugar
You could, of course go the cheapest option and do the age old test for sugar ... taste it! :)
Or buy a finger prick blood sugar machine

You can buy dipsticks over the counter in a chemist, or get them for free from your practice nurse- they're always rosey and friendly. However if you have diabetes you need medical intervention. DIABETES IS A SERIOUS DISORDER!!! Sorry don't mean to scare you just want to prepare you. Good luck.

You buy a kit and test.
If you donot have money some hints are here:-
Are you over thirsty?
Do wounds scratches on your body take too long for healing?
If you pass urine out side your house in sand and watch after some time when you look are there ants in large numbers?
If all answers are Yes you may be diabetic and requires checking.

First way, measure your body's performance, do you get tired easily? Or do you get weakened easily? If yes, then you probably are diabetic. It is your body that isn't able to take the glucose to convert it to energy. So, there's abundant of glucose in your blood, but not enaugh in your living tissue.
Second way, the easiest one, taste your own pee. If you taste it like coke, than you shall see the doctor.
