No herpes is always going to lay dormant in your body once a person contracts it. When people say "herpes" most people automatically think of genital herpes. But, there are actually 8 different kinds of the herpes virus.
*herpes simplex virus 1 causes oral and/or genital herpes
(predominantly cold sores)
*herpes simplex virus 2 causes oral and/or genital herpes (predominantly genital)
*herpes simplex virus 3 or varicella zoster virus causes chickenpox and shingles
*herpes simplex virus 4 or EBV (Epstein-Barr virus) causes infectious mononucleosis, Burkitt's lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma
*herpes simplex virus 5 or CMV (cytomegalovirus) causes infectious mononucleosis, retinitis, etc.
*herpes simplex virus 6 or Human B-cell lymphotrophic virus or roseolovirus causes "sixth disease" (known as roseola infantum or exanthem subitum)
*herpes simplex virus 7 is closely related to HHV-6; causes roughly the same symptoms
*herpes simplex virus 8 a type of rhadinovirus = KSHV = Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus causes Kaposi's sarcoma, primary effusion lymphoma and some types of multicentric Castleman's disease
So there are a lot of different kinds of the herpes virus and many are not sexually trasmitted, like chickpox, and cold sores. If she has ever had chicken pox she has a form of herpes and won't get rid of it, but chicken pox usually never comes back, although the virus still lives in the body. It's not the same kind that causes genital herpes or cold sores. If she was diganosed with cold sores or genital herpes she will NEVER get rid of the virus, it is a virus and there is currently no cure for it. And I saw you said you have never had any outbreaks. This could be because you never got the virus from her, or because you aren't showing any signs of it. Some people (rare but possible) will show NO signs or symtoms of the virus, like blisters, even though they do have the virus.

I got diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 5 yrs ago, when I was still attending college and had a foolish one-night stand. I know loads of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/8CpXr everything got better.
Not only was I able to remove all remnants of the herpes virus from my body in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This program gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

From what I understand, genital herpes never goes away. It may lay dormant and you won't see any symptoms, but it can come back at any time. There's also medication to help reduce number of outbreaks.
Are you sure it was diagnosed as herpes? Maybe you are thinking of HPV (which causes genital warts as opposed to genital sores). HPV can show warts one day, then after they clear, there is the possibility of never having an outbreak again. Supposedly the HPV virus stays in your body forever (this is being questioned in the medical community), so even if it were HPV, I don't see why the doctor would say it would never come back.
Nonetheless, being that she had something, you should go get yourself tested for STD's just to be safe.

sure, there is not any. Herpes is led to with the aid of an outbreak. definitely, there is little treatment for viruses those days. the only element which you would be able to in many cases do whilst it comes to a viral an infection is improve the immune gadget and desire it fights it off. no longer with Herpes, the immune gadget won't be in a position of win against it. for that reason you purely get to handle the indications. as quickly as you're contaminated, it keeps to be with you for existence. So don't get contaminated. own journey. I definitely have had genital herpes for over 5 years. the #a million Herpes treatment software?

Only type of herpes you can have and wont get again is chicken pox .
Otherwise you get it it aint going anywhere , you can not have syptoms of it , but you still have it . So just because everything looks fine , dosent mean it is .
Go get blood work done to see if you have it or not . Thats the only way you will find out whats going on , dont be scurd .

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

If she has genital herpes, then it's never going to go away. She may not show any signs of an outbreak, but she can still pass it on. There's an old jokey saying "One night stands are one night stands, but herpes is forever."...
Use condoms when you have sex and go get yourself tested to make sure you don't have it.
