I had some generic M&Ms actually leave candy shell color on my palm from holding it. Do genuine M&Ms actually melt in your hands just like that?

Yeah just like skittles leave a rainbow on your hand if you hold them too long!

Yes. The candy coating leaves colors on your palms if it's hot out or your hands are warm. That's why I'm not sure why they use that slogan...

I just tear a little hole in the corner of the bag and pop them into my mouth without even touching them. lol!

Well they do advertise that the genuine article 'melts in your mouth and not in your hand' but mine are never in my hand long enough to find out!
Why not buy a pack and find out?

When we were kids, my sisters and I reenacted the commercials they showed on TV. We did really well until we got to the part where the kid opens their clean-as-a -whistle hand. Our cherished M&M's would be a total melt-down of sticky slime.

They sure do. They say that because you are suppose to eat them so fast you don't hold them very long. All chocolate will melt.

Yes they do if you hold them in your hand for a length of time.....but the don`t if you eat them right away. I believe that`s where they got their m&m slogan.....
