Since it's a homewarming party, I'd say some spiced apple and cinnamon cider with brown sugar in it. It's a cozy drink.

The alternative drink for soda people could be old fashoned sprite fruit punch.??

Definately need coffee and different kinds of cream.

Appetizer- if you're not serving really fancy people, you could serve anything that is not messy. Potato skins aren't REALLY messy and make an appealing appetizer.

Dessert: Apple pie with ice cream.

Slushy virgin daiquiris would be good since it's been so hot lately. The rest, I have no clue. Check Food Network.

Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri

1 ounce fresh lime juice
3 ounces frozen sliced strawberries in syrup (or fresh)
1 teaspoon sugar (or to taste)
cracked ice

Fill a blender with cracked ice. Add lime juice, strawberries, and sugar. Blend until smooth, then pour into a chilled glass.
Garnish with an extra strawberry or an orange slice.

Other good drinks would be Shirley Temples, or Hawaiian Island Surfers. You can find more non-alcoholic drink recipes on DrinkMixer.com

Non alcoholic punch (www.allrecipes.com type ginger ale in an ingredients search) is good. Pop, iced tea, a cooler filled with cans of whatever.

Appetizers - buy some, don't try and make your own, it's really a pain. You can buy a big box of frozen meatballs and cook them in the overn then put them in a bowl and coat them with sweet and sour sauce, that's awesome. Most grocery stores sell boxes of appetizers like Chinese dumplings, spring rolls, pigs in a blanket, etc.

Dessert - little cheesecake bars or frozen cream puffs or brownies or all three. Again, buy 'em. Cooking for a crowd is very difficult unless you've had lots of experience. GL!

People love this appetizer...It's tasty, somewhat healthy, and very important for a party, easy to eat and keep your clothes and house neat. A good way to have veggies without having to use a fork or an ordinary veggie platter.

Garden Veggie Squares
8 oz pkg refrigerated cerscent rolls
8 ozpkg cream cheese, softened
1 oz pkg ranch-style dressing mix
2 carrots, finely chopped or preferrable shredded
1/2 c. red or green bell peppers, chopped
1/2 c. fresh broccoli, chopped
1/2 c. green onion, chopped

Preheat oven to 375. Roll out crescent rolls onto a large, non-stick baking sheet. Stretch and flatten to form a single rectangle shape on the baking sheet. Bake 11-13 minutes in a preheated oven or until golden brown. Allow to cool. Place cream cheese in a medium-sized bowl. Mix cream cheese with half of ranch dressing mix. Adjust the amount of mix to personal tast. Spread mixture over cooled crust. Arrange carrots, bell peppers, broccoli and green onions on top. Press vegetables into spread with a spatula. Chill in refriderator for 1 hour. Cute into bite-sized squares.

Try finger foods like fried wings, crackers with cheese and fruit with it. Also try making some bubbly punch ginger ale and some fruit juice with some fresh fruit in it like pineapple, strawberries. Also some fresh raw veggies like celery, carrot, brocolli with some dressing to dip it in.

GOOD LUCK!
