A cure? No. There are very effective treatments for it though... people can live a long time with it. Consider Magic Johnson...

HIV and AIDS can be treated through various medications and drugs. Because HIV causes AIDS, treatment for HIV is generally the same as AIDS treatment. HIV medications are used to combat the virus by either preventing it from copying itself or by blocking its access to cells. HIV AIDS treatments may also include medications to help deal with any opportunistic infections you may have become infected with. Currently, there is neither an AIDS cure nor an HIV cure. Overtime, some people taking treatment for AIDS or HIV may develop a resistance to the drugs they are using. This occurs because the HIV virus reproduces itself in your system, often mutating in the process. Since mutations of the HIV strain’s DNA occasionally occur in areas that the drugs target, the virus becomes resistant and is able to copy itself unhindered.
While changing your drug regime can help, it is possible for you to become resistant to an entire group of drugs. To reduce the likelihood of your body becoming resistant to HIV medications, it is necessary to take your drugs on time and every day. By doing this, the virus does not have a chance to copy itself.
It is also possible for you to be infected with a strain of HIV that is already resistant to certain drugs or an entire drug group. This will limit your treatment possibilities.

I lifted this paragraph out of an article on Gary Null's website discussion on HIV/AIDS: Click on the link below for full discussion....
"...Dr. Raphael Stricker, a hematologist and the associate director of the division of immunotherapy at California Pacific Medical Center, tells of his success with dinitrochlorobenzene (D.N.C.B.), a new type of immuneenhancing agent made of natural compounds. "D.N.C.B. stimulates the immune system to fight viruses and other infections," he says. "We have been following [HIV-positive people] who have been using D,N.C.B. for three years on a continuous basis, and the results have been quite encouraging. We have been looking at patients with early HIV disease, not necessarily with advanced disease or AIDS. We've found these patients to have a stable course when they use D.N.C.B. on a regular basis. They do not progress to AIDS, and their immunologic studies are either stabilized or improved, The toxicity is really minimal. There may be some local irritation from the application site on the skin, but this usually clears up in a couple of days.
"D.N.C.B. is available through the Healing Alternative Foundation in San Francisco," Dr. Stricker adds. "Since it is a simple compound, it is not subject to patent rules or F.D.A. control. It can be obtained for a very low price, also due to the fact that it is not patentable. It costs about $20 for a six-month supply."
Dr. Hans Kugler offers this general outline of immune-building steps HIV infected people can take if they feel they are at risk of getting AIDS. "At first I would definitely not take the AIDS drug because it is immune-suppressive. This was shown in a recent publication of Pharmacological Therapeutics. I would stimulate the immune function. I would certainly emphasize a good and healthy lifestyle.
"The next step would be to move toward super nutrition," Kugler says. "The important thing to remember is to practice quality nutrition. Eat foods as Mother Nature makes them, not foods treated with chemicals. Then you would probably need a good supplementation program. Once you have started these basics, you put your mind to work. Love, Medicine and Miracles is a magnificent book to help teach you how to get your mind aligned."
Hope this helps you on your search.....!

there are no current treatments for it but there is prevention. The best way to prevent it is to not have sex and dont do drugs. The second best way is to use protection every partner every time and get tested every six months no matter what. if you have it or get it, then you can get medication that will prolong the symptoms and can let you have a longer life. But there is no cure.
