i have friend who is a grad student in plant pathology. he is crazy smart. man knows a lot. he once told me there is a cure and there are several people that he knows of to have cured themselves. his screenname is jcd830. i hope he doesn't get mad i gave his screenname, but he loves to impart knowledge on people. he says that the cure lies in plants and herbs. he also believes it was created in some lab and put into africa to try to kill black people. i have a hard time believeing this part, but it could have some merit to it. the government has also been blamed for starting gangs and such, and there is compelling evidence that makes you wonder. but i am not the authority on such issues, my boyfriend and that guy i listed above are. so no there probably wont be a medicine or vaccine for it because the pharmaceutical companies can't make a profit off of a cure. they would rather continue producing the meds that only extend your life a few more weeks. and as for magic johnson, someone told me he dodn't have AIDS cause he been doing way to well for way too long. but that is just hearsay.

Certainly. We are very close now. Most likely starting with a vaccine that also functions as a treatment (there is a strong candidate in Canada now, being tested). Interestingly, that cure for HIV will also probably cure dozens of other retroviruses, which we now know also cause various cancers and other deadly diseases, and suspect cause others that we are not yet certain of. We never knew to look until AIDS.

There is no reason for you to die - why would you? Use safer sex and/or prep -- there is no reason for you to get sick - don't buy propaganda, learn facts and protect yourself.

It was back around 1990, I saw a report on 60 minutes about a woman in San Fran. who was working with Aids patients and holistic healing. Two of her clients had tested negative after working with her! The authorities would not recognize the healing because they could not explain it. She centered her work with the patients around Mind, Body & Spirit healing. Not the modern medicine approach.
The program moved me to start studying holistic healing. And I have offered my knowledge freely when I can help.
I have an old friend who is possitive and has been for the 16 years I've known him, ya can't tell by looking at him. He looks perfectly heathy, and he is in his mind!

The herbal complex that the other girl spoke of (sterinol-by Moducare). Also called plant sterins?? Is available at your local health food store. It is not a cure, but it does put the virous in remission. This is an excellent herbal complex that balances the immune system naturally so that the body is able to fight off any thing it comes in contact with. It costs about $1 a day to take and you don't need a prescription.
It also works for everything from herpes to the common cold & flus!

Well it is getting better. But as far as a cure - who knows? More people are living longer with improved meds. 10 plus years and the problem that is coming from that is the complications certain HIV Meds can cause. So it's damned if you do and damned if you don't. So I pray for a cure for all that are struggling with it.

you're speaking of two numerous issues, treatment vs prevention. there's a disproportionally quantity of money spent on HIV/AIDS analyze with the aid of political reasons. based on the small variety of folk with it it may be an "orphan" ailment despite if it is not. the actual worry in Heath circles is that it ought to get into the final inhabitants and be a actual pandemic. It has no longer, gay adult adult males are the conventional "victims". The spinoffs from that analyze could help in different viruses so in basic terms perchance all will income.

No definite cure at this time, but who knows what time will bring. We've made great strides with our HIV meds. HIV used to be a death sentence. Now, however, it has turned into a chronic condition. People can live for a long time after getting infected with HIV if they're compliant with their meds and follow up with medical care.

yeah there is a cure out there. the government doesn't want to release it. think about if we took all the people in just one year that pass because of the virus and threw them back into society. over population for sure. also think of how many jobs would be lost... what a infuriating thought huh?

I saw an artical today in the latest issue of scientific computing about the HIV virus, scientists are currently solving finite element models on super computers of the virus string, and how it reacts to various drugs, they were talking about how the solutions will be solved on a 64 nodes of a super computer, i did not read the artical in great detail, but here is a link if you would like to read it online.
http://www.scientificcomputing.com/ShowPR.aspx?PUBCODE=030&ACCT=3000000100&ISSUE=0607&RELTYPE=FE&PRODCODE=00000000&PRODLETT=N

If that link does not work, then search for

"Scientific Computing" +HIV

Once at the site, click on current issue, then on the HIV link.

We can't predict the future....no, there is no cure, and if there was people wouldn't make such a big deal out of getting it.
